Daymer Bay & Greenaway

Fronted by one long sandy beach and renowned for being a water sports destination, it’s understandable why Rock has become so popular over the years.

These two beaches are set between Rock and Polzeath. At low tide Daymer offers a wide-open beach which is easily accessible from the car park making it a perfect place to bring children. A short walk from the beach, within the sand dunes you’ll find St Enodoc Church, which is known for almost once being buried completely by sand, as well as being the final resting place of former poet laureate Sir John Betjeman.

Slightly more tucked away, Greenaway beach is located just a little further along the coast path and is best explored at low tide. This coarse sand beach backed by rocky cliffs is perfect for rock poolers and is a good way to escape the crowds.
